The library is pleased to announce that PC study spaces are available for essential reasons from Monday 15th March 2021.  As we are still in Level 5 of COVID-19 restrictions, please make note of these guidelines in relation to booking your PC study space so that the library can be a safe and welcoming space for library users.

From Monday 15th March 2021 opening hours for study spaces are as follows:

  • Monday:         10am-1pm    and     2pm-5pm
  • Tuesday:         1pm-4pm      and     5pm-8pm
  • Wednesday:   1pm-4pm      and     5pm-8pm
  • Thursday:       10am-1pm    and     2pm-5pm
  • Friday:             10am-1pm    and     2pm-5pm

Study spaces must be booked in advance on There are two different time slots available in the day and slots are booked for three hours at a time. You may book two slots in the one day if you wish, but availability will depend on demand.

Bookings must be made at least an hour beforehand. All bookings need to be confirmed by library staff via email. Bookings are monitored from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and there is no guarantee that they will be approved outside of these hours.

You cannot come to campus unless you have a scheduled appointment so DO NOT come to the library without a booking confirmed by email.  You must also not come to the library if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, or if you are a close contact.

When you are in the library, it is quiet study only. Study spaces are individually assigned and you should always maintain social distancing of 2 metres from the other students around you. Food is not permitted but you may bring in water bottles or hot drinks in non-spill reusable cups. You must wear a face covering at all times while in the library space.
